Happy Valentine’s Day lovers and friends! Today was so beautiful despite almost losing my crazy pug O_o I enjoyed a small lifestyle photo shoot with the homie Bryan (@gofresco – IG), some warm sun rays, and now I’m about to go see Jesse Boykins III at this dope, intimate spot in my city. In Nas’s voice, “Life is good.”

You may be wondering what’s up with the heart. Well, I just had this crazy idea to start this series called RED DRUM that will be solely based on love songs. I would love to keep it acoustic but we’ll see how it goes! Here is the first track off of the ongoing piece called “Nobody Special” which samples Miguel’s “Pussy is Mine”. Enjoy.

Thank you Higher Power for allowing me to live yet another crazy, wonderful year on this beautiful planet. 22 made me aware, 23 got my focused, and now 24 has me ready to take flight. Lying in this huge bed of imagination and ambition has me filled with so much joy and gratitude. I’m blessed for what I have, who I have, and with whom I’m continuing to be build. Everyone I’ve met thus far has helped to mode me into the woman I am today – even the seasonal individuals. You all are wonderful and I appreciate EVERY birthday wish from EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU! I’d like to prep you guys for what’s to come. Greatness. Success. Renaissance.

Over the past year I’ve been doing some soul searching and it’ll continue into next year. I think I’ve finally found a balance between my dreams and my reality – between what’s attainable and what’s not worth attaining. I’ve amazed myself and possibly others. I’ve crossed over into adulthood and found focus on the right things. I’ve met some great, determined people that have found themselves into my circle (not too many make it there). The Regal People has been doing crazy well and the music is getting its momentum yet again. Maybe it’s the cosmos but I feel this energy that I can’t help but to take in and share to others. Aahh! It feel so damn good!! The photo above is of me with no make up, stylin’ in a piece from TRP’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. I just had to show it off, y’all. I really don’t wanna part ways with it but I feel like in the next few weeks some well-known person may snag it (shhhh). Gotta say I’m proud of myself. I hope you guys can say the same for yourselves too.

Look back on this year and reflect. Did you accomplish the things you wanted to accomplish? Have you gotten closer to figuring out your personal legend? Have you grown as an individual?

Kings and Queens you are righteous in your own ways. Remember that and move forward with integrity and steadfastness.
